SUMMARY SCOPE NOTE:  This series is a monthly listing of prisoners released (discharged) from the penitentiary.  Information varies by volume.  All volumes contain date of discharge, prisoner name, and number.  In addition, 1903-1955 contains the full term of the sentence and commutation allowed.  1926-1947 includes minimum and maximum lengths of sentence.  1935-1946 and 1964-1968 include gender and race of prisoner, crime of which convicted, convicting court, sentence, beginning date of sentence, and reason for discharge.  The series covers the years 1903-1955 and 1964-1968.
