SUMMARY SCOPE NOTE:  This series was used to record the daily inmate population in the various correctional institutions.  This series consists of a sergeant's daily report form which reflects prison, death house, date, night count, yard total, grand total, authorized absentees, and total number of persons gained, lost, and transferred.  Prisoners are listed by name, number, and race as their status in the prison changes and they are to be counted in another unit of the department.

 

GENERAL NOTE:  This series has been superseded in the agency by the Daily Strength Reports.
