ARRANGEMENT: Series of volumes arranged alphabetically by agency.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL NOTE: When this series was created, such audits were a function of the Bank Examiner's office. Presently these audits are the responsibility of the Budget and Control Board, Office of the State Auditor, and the record copies are in that office. The Department's collection of the record copies begins in 1936.

SUMMARY SCOPE NOTE: This series contains the governor's copies of reports of audits of state agencies, colleges and universities, and the offices of constitutional officers. The reports show appropriations, expenditures, and balances; outstanding warrants; statements of revenues received; and reconciliations with the comptroller general.

Each report is covered by the state auditor's letter of transmittal. A report may include general comments explaining and interpreting any discrepancies found.
